The Fifth Anniversary of the Mary S. Fay Enrichment Awards

The 2005 recipients and projects
This year, seven BWH nurses have opportunities for personal and professional development in areas related to their work at BWH, including patient flow and nursing simulation. These nurses received 2005 Mary S. Fay Enrichment Awards, which provide funding to travel to other caregiving environments and observe practices in order to bring new knowledge and innovative ideas back to BWH. Established by Yousuf and Estrellita Karsh and named in honor of former BWH Vice President of Nursing Mary Fay, the awards are funded by the Karsh family, Marshall Wolf, MD, the BWH Department of Medicine and several other donors.
In a separate ceremony, the 2004 recipients of the award presented the impact their projects had on themselves, the hospital and the practice of nursing. Last year's recipients were Kelli Smith, Steffanie Schwam, Ann Marie Colletta, Susan Hayes, Diana Phillips, Dorothy Zuppe, Maryanne Dillon and Michael Dumais.
