The BWH Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Employee and Friends group is sponsoring its biggest week of events ever to mark National LGBT Health Awareness Week March 29 to April 2.
“Our goal is to bring voice and visibility to the disparities and needs, recognizing that for some of us, these can be difficult and personal issues to discuss, and yet, when the conversations are absent, both the care LGBT people receive and their health outcomes are negatively affected,” said Carrie Braverman, LICSW. “As we celebrate our one year anniversary, the BWH LGBT group is very excited to host several events in recognition of this week.”
Events will be held throughout the week at BWH, in addition to the first ever multi-institution networking event on April 1. View a complete list of events and details on BWHPikeNotes.org and e-mail bwhlgbt@partners.org for more information.
