BWH-AMMP (Association for Multicultural Members of Partners) sponsored “Building Bridges to your Future – Career Advancement Day,” an educational and professional development fair on Wednesday, June 25 that featured representatives from local colleges, universities, and professional development organizations. The day began with a panel discussion, “Moving On Up at BWH,” that featured employees who have made the transition from entry level to management positions. A special opening reception with Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA, president, BWH; Cheryl Locke, vice president, Human Resources; and Robin Vann Ricca, MPH, JD, director, Organizational Development, Training and Diversity Management was also one of the program’s highlights. The event continued throughout the day with an educational fair, speakers, workshops and discussions. “AMMP did a wonderful job taking the available resources in and outside our walls to provide our incredible staff with opportunities to expand their development,” said Locke. “We know that employee development is key to job satisfaction and this was testimony to our organizational vision and mission.”
