AHA Heart Walk Sept. 17
The American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk, which raises money for cardiovascular research, advocacy and education, is Sept. 17, and this year's Heart Walk is chaired by Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA, president of BWH. Brigham and Women's has been the largest beneficiary of the AHA, receiving almost $6 million in grants of the $22 million awarded in Greater Boston. This year, we have a unique opportunity to showcase the Cardiovascular Center while supporting the fundraising efforts of the AHA. BWH has committed to raise $110,000 toward AHA's goal of $1.4 million. To help reach this goal, consider becoming a team captain by contacting the hospital's co-captains, Kenneth Baughman, MD or Debra Rogers, director of Clinical Services. Also, set aside Sept. 17 and join us at the walk. Or, sign up online or make at donation at www.heartwalk.kintera.org/bostonma . Your time and commitment to this project are appreciated.
