This spring, Partners Community HealthCare, Inc. (PCHI) became the first provider organization in New England—and the second in the U.S.—to achieve certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification was granted in the area of preventive health services.
Four network-wide prevention initiatives formed the preventive health certification application: pediatric immunizations, elderly flu vaccinations, mammography, and smoking cessation. All are aspects of PCHI’s overall goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of care. Said PCHI Medical Director Thomas Lee, MD, “Our success reflects hard and thoughtful work performed by people throughout the network.”
