In a luncheon on August 15, Nancy Kruger, vice president, Patient Care Services, recognized senior nurses who mentored nursing students this year through the Minority Mentorship Program (MMP).
For nine weeks these nurses from different departments have been working one on one with nursing students in their junior year—teaching them to care for patients, and exposing them to different areas of nursing. The MMP hopes to increase diversity in nursing and attract the students to BWH after graduation.
