Dear Colleagues:
Our distribution of services by disease with a “right care-right place” approach across BW/F will enable us to meet our growth projections. To better serve the many cardiovascular patients who seek our services from around the world, care will be provided mainly among three mentioned sites.
The Carl and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center at 70 Francis St. will serve as the flagship location, hosting tertiary and quaternary services, research, outpatient clinics, invasive and non-invasive testing, interventional procedures and surgery. Along Route 9 at 850 Boylston, patients will receive primary cardiovascular care, consultative cardiovascular care, as well as diagnostic testing and imaging. Faulkner campus will appropriately serve as the hub of community hospital services, hosting primary and secondary care, advanced heart disease, EP, cardiac imaging, invasive testing and vascular surgery.
With this deliberate delineation of services, BW/F's Cardiovascular Center will provide the best quality care for the full range of our cardiac patients.
BW/F benefits from attaining its strategic goals and patients benefit from the same high level of quality at each of the three care venues.
Look for more updates on activity surrounding this center of excellence, as well as the other four, in future issues of BWH Medical Staff News .
Sincerely yours,

Steven Seltzer, MD
BWPO Chairman
