Look Who's Talking
With summer approaching, many of us will be relaxing with a good book. We asked BWHers what books they plan to read this summer. Check out their responses.

I'll be reading Orhan Pamuk's "Silent House" (more serious reading), Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl" (lighter reading) and Khaled Hosseini's "And the Mountains Echoed" (recently released).

I am mid-way through "The Sisterhood" by Helen Bryan and love it so far (same author who wrote "War Brides" which I also really enjoyed)! I would highly recommend it for summer reading. Also, I recently finished "Gone Girl" by Jillian Flynn and would really recommend it!

This summer I am looking forward to finishing "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy, and beginning the yet unpublished but beautifully rendered, "Centipede Dragon" by Alice Chen, which I will be re-reading with my nephew Matt. In between, I plan on keeping up with my weekly dose of science policy on the University Affairs blog "The Black Hole," to which I will be contributing, and I will also be venturing still further into economics with "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith.

I read a lot of everything! Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, in the summer I lean more towards lighter stuff. For example, mysteries - I'm trying to read all the Stephanie Plum books written by Janet Evanovich. I'm reading a John Grisham book right now, "The Racketeer." I'm also planning to read Terry Francona's book about his experience with the Red Sox and a biography of Derek Sanderson, former Boston Bruin. I have the sequel of "The Passage" by Justin Cronin in the pile, it's called "The Twelve." And of course, I have a bunch of professional reading that I seem to tote around and sometimes read.

I would say, if I got a chance in my spare time, I may choose to read "Twice Tempted" by Jeaniene Frost.
