BWH at the National Nursing Staff Development Organization Conference

Four representatives from BWH’s Nursing Professional Development Staff presented at this year’s NNSDO Conference in San Diego, July 29-31. Mary Pennington, MS, RN and Kathleen Ryan-Avery MS, RN showcased a poster entitled: “Ongoing Competency Verification: Creation, Implementation and Development of Ongoing Annual Competency Days.” Charlotte Messinger BSN, RN unveiled a poster entitled, “The Merry Month of May…Thirty One Days of Nurse Recognition Activities,” and Martha Griffin, PhD, RN gave a presentation entitled “Shielding Newly Licensed Nurses from Lateral Violence: Changing the Socialization Pattern and Improving Professionalism.”
