Briggs Appointed to Emergency Nurses Association Board of Directors

William Briggs, RN, MSN, CEN, nurse manager, Emergency Department, was elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) effective January 2005.

Briggs is currently serving as a director-at-large on the ENA Board and is past president of the Massachusetts State Council of the ENA, as well as serving on the ENA Board from 1995-1997. In addition, Briggs was a member of the ENA Foundation Board of Directors, the ENA Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, and the EN CARE/ENA Injury Prevention Institute Board.

Of his new appointment, Briggs said, “I am pleased that the members have placed their confidence in me and I will work tirelessly to meet the ENA’s mission.”

Founded in 1970, ENA serves as the voice of more than 24,000 members and their patients through advocacy, research, publications, professional development, injury prevention and patient education.
