Brigham and Women’s Hospital has announced a hospital-wide competition for two Minority Faculty Career Development Awards. This Award is designed to select talented, under-represented minority trainees early in their careers and help them to develop the skills needed to obtain a faculty position at Harvard Medical School or BWH. Each awardee will receive $150,000 over the seven-year span of the award to be used to enhance their career development. Individuals who would like to apply for this award should contact their Department Chairpersons. Each Department will be able to nominate two individuals for consideration. Applications will be due January 26, 2001 and the award recipients will be announced in late February 2001.
