Letters of Thanks
To the incredible nurses on CWN 10:
In March, our daughter was born at BWH. After delivering her via C-section, both she and I experienced some complications. As new parents, nothing is more frightening than a child having to spend time in the NICU. I was ill and could not take care of my new baby girl, and this frightened me! I cannot express how deeply thankful we are to have had the care of your nurses in both the NICU and on CWN 10. In our eyes, they are angels. They helped us through one of the most difficult times of our life, and looking back, I could not have done it without them.
To the Nursing Staff:
My dear friend was admitted to the Brigham through the ER in April, and not long after admission, she was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. During the following seven weeks, we worked with the nursing teams in the ER, on four floors, and in the MICU. There were several constants through this odyssey: our deep love and concern for our friend and our deep appreciation and respect for the nursing staff at the Brigham. The nurses were at his side within seconds (or it seemed to us!) every time we indicated he was experiencing discomfort. Thank you to the Brigham nursing staff for the skillful work they do and for the loving care they bring to that work.
