Mike Casey, the local photographer whose portrait of BWH Chief Medical Officer Andy Whittemore, MD, now complements the “Healers of Our Age” on the Nesson Pike, has presented, with Estrellita Karsh, his serene landscape to the Department of Rehabilitation Services.
Linda Arslanian, director of Rehabilitation Services, called Casey’s “Golfer at Dusk,” “calming and inspiring for the patients in the waiting room,” adding that art in a medical setting lowers patients’ anxiety levels and makes them more relaxed and responsive to treatment.
