Dedication of Memorial for Beloved Nurse

Lisa Groebl, RN, nurse care facilitator, passed away unexpectedly last spring, leaving her colleagues with memories of the care and advocacy she provided to her patients since she began working here in 1977. Recently, new stained glass windows in the BWH Chapel (pictured above) were presented as a permanent memorial to Groebl. Created by stained glass artist Kristen E. Mackay, the blues, pinks and teals of “Compassionate Souls” adds a new element of reflection to the chapel. “Lisa’s gentle spirit will forever be present in our chapel,” said Nancy Kruger, DNSc, RN, chief nursing officer.
