More than 15 BWHers ran with “Team Baughman” at the AHA’s annual Fun Run, held during the organization’s Annual Scientific Sessions. This year’s race was dedicated to Kenneth L. Baughman, MD, who died in an accident while jogging during the 2009 Annual Scientific Sessions. “The run was a very fitting way to recognize the anniversary of Ken Baughman’s untimely passing,” said Peter Libby, MD, chief of Cardiovascular Medicine, who led Brigham Team Baughman in the Fun Run with Patrick T. O’Gara, MD, executive director of the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center and clinical director of the Cardiovascular Division. “Ken was an avid athlete who practiced what he preached and never missed a day. This occasion reminded us that every day of life is a gift, and how much Ken contributed to the fabric of our institution during his years here.”
