As BWH’s new director of Clinical Compliance, Kelly Schoppee, MS, RN, will oversee the organization’s continual readiness efforts, including Joint Commission accreditation, Department of Public Health and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services licensure activities and other clinical compliance duties.
Schoppee joins BWH from Faulkner Hospital, where she served as director of Patient Safety, Continuous Readiness and Infection Control. Schoppee directed three hospital-wide programs, ensured regulatory compliance related to a hospital-wide infection control plan and developed and implemented an effective program for ongoing adherence to accreditation and clinical regulatory standards and requirements.
Prior to that, Schoppee worked as a clinical and regulatory audit manager and clinical auditor for Partners HealthCare and as a pediatric and ambulatory care nurse at MGH.
Schoppee earned a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, where she graduated cum laude.
