Antman Receives Award of Meritorious Achievement from the AHA

Elliott Antman, MD, director of the Samuel A. Levine Cardiac Unit at BWH, and professor of medicine at HMS, received the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Award of Meritorious Achievement, which recognizes specific accomplishments that affect the association on a national level. He was recognized for his leadership as chairperson of the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Task Force on Practice Guidelines. Through his efforts on the guidelines process, Antman helped shape the core recommendations forming the official policy of the AHA. Antman also is the senior associate editor of Circulation, the AHA flagship journal, and he serves on the Science Advisory Coordinating Committee, the Manuscript Oversight Committee and the Program Committee for Scientific Sessions in Clinical Cardiology.
