Cialfi Elected President of Society of GI Nurses and Associates

Sandra Cialfi, BSN, MBA, RN, CGRN, nurse manager of the Endoscopy Centers, was elected president of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA), a national organization of more than 8,000 members, dedicated to the safe and effective practice of gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing.
Cialfi will serve as president-elect during 2006 and will assume the presidency in May 2007.
Cialfi has been nurse manager of the BWH Endoscopy Center since 1989, overseeing two high-volume procedural centers performing more than 15,000 procedures annually. She has lectured and conducted workshops for nurses throughout the United States, China, Malaysia, Japan and India. She has held positions in SGNA’s New England Chapter, including president and board member, as well as offices at the national level as a member of the board of directors and treasurer.
