Levine Receives ACMT Scholarship
Michael Levine, MD, of Emergency Medicine, was granted the 2006 Michael P. Spadafora Scholarship from the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT). This award sponsors travel to either the 2006 North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology (NACCT) or the 2007 ACMT Spring Course in Medical Toxicology, both of which enhance knowledge about the diagnosis, management and prevention of toxicity in maintaining health.
Dr. Michael P. Spadafora was an academic emergency physician and medical toxicologist committed to resident education. He was a dedicated member of the ACMT, and following his death in 1999, the society initiated a scholarship to encourage residents to pursue Medical Toxicology fellowship training.
